Carla's Easy Date Oat Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup dried pitted dates coarsely chopped

  • 2 ½ tsp boiling water

  • 150g butter

  • ½ cup castor sugar

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup wholewheat flour

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 3 ⅓ cup oats

 


Getting started:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180˚ C.

  2. Place the dates in the boiling water and soak.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar, add the egg and beat until combined. 

  4. Stir in the flour, cinnamon, oats and dates.

  5. Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking trays and bake for 12 mins or until golden brown. Allow to cool and enjoy.
