On July 4th, 2025, despite a roaring winter storm outside, WorkingMama Magazine had the delightful opportunity to collaborate with the ever‑talented Jacqui Cooks from The Cupcakery of CT for a super‑fun Junior Chefs Cupcake Decorating Class hosted at the vibrant Hirsch’s Home Store in Milnerton.
Set against a backdrop of Smeg appliances and displays of cupcakes, young bakers arrived, undeterred by the weather, ready to unleash their inner pastry artists. Frosting bags, colorful sprinkles, and tons of excitement, kids explored the sweet world of cupcake decorating under Jacqui’s expert guidance...
More Than Just Pretty Cupcakes
It wasn’t just about making cupcakes pretty; it was about creativity, skill‑building, and good old‑fashioned sugar‑fueled joy! The class was filled with laughter, frosting‑streaked faces, and proud smiles as each child walked away with their edible masterpiece. My younger one especially loved decorating… but let’s be real, the highlight was devouring that cupcake with frosting up to the nose!
