You Spoke, We Listened: Feedback

At WorkingMama™, we believe in being transparent. When you show up for us, we owe you our best, and that includes listening when things fall short.

After our 5 July 2025 Pink Carpet Event, we received valuable feedback, some glowing, some honest, and tough. One heartfelt letter in particular highlighted a few areas of concern. While we won't name the writer, we want to publicly say: thank you.

Here’s what you told us, and how we’re responding.

Catering — What Happened

We advertised a “delicious lunch”, but due to unforeseen circumstances, our external caterers could not deliver on the day of the event. Their absence was last-minute, and we had to act quickly, offering snack-style refreshments instead.

Our response: We immediately reduced ticket prices by 40% before the event to reflect this change. We also sincerely apologise to guests who still felt disappointed. Going forward, we will never overpromise and will always be clear on what to expect.

Goodie Bags – Real Talk

The R800 value was based on sponsor commitments. Unfortunately, several partners could not deliver on time. What remained was beautiful but fell short.

Our response: We accept full accountability. We’ve received apologies from those brands. Next time:

  • You’ll receive a WorkingMama™ Magazine in every bag.

  • We’ll only promote confirmed, in-hand content.

Coffee Queues – Grateful, but Learning

The queue was long, and we know it caused delays. But it’s also important to say: this was the first time coffee was offered free to all guests, thanks to the generosity of Hirsch’s Milnerton.

Our response: Thank you to Hirsch’s for showing up and serving with a smile. And yes, we’ll plan better with multiple stations or staggered service to reduce waiting time in the future.

Our Commitment

I, Elize Fisher, take full responsibility for the oversights. While we celebrated wins, I acknowledge that growth comes through correction. We’ve heard you. And we’re already making changes to ensure your next WorkingMama™ experience feels both premium and personal.

Thank you for your grace. For showing up. For speaking up.

“Even if we’re not present next time, we’ll be there in mind and soul.” Anonymous

We felt that. And we’ll carry it with us.

With gratitude and humility,

Elize Fisher
